This is the latest development of the Omega Silver Snoopy pedigree, but there is a caveat: the first two models are limited editions, and this is a regular production model. You read that right-although “regular production” does not necessarily mean that it will be easy to get started. Hey, what else is new?
Well, as far as this watch is concerned, a lot. On the one hand, this chronograph can not only brush your teeth every morning and night. It also makes the mechanism work so that Snoopy can rise on the back cover.
This replica watch from Omega has a silver and blue pattern. The dial is silver and laser-engraved Ag925. It has a stepped configuration, retro-style design hints, and the internal dial and minute track are separated by a circular ridge. This separation can be enhanced by changing the color and texture of the shadow. The inner dial appears brighter and smoother, while the outer dial almost has a sunny finish.
Then, the blue color enters the sub-dial. They are all blue, but not exactly the same. Both the hour and minute hands have radial patterns and the sinking effect of silver-plated hands. Instead, the running seconds counter is flush with the dial. It uses a complete astronaut costume with Snoopy’s illustrations and is marked with the words “50th Anniversary”. The sub-dial has a moon-like texture and raised stars around our favorite beagle. Since white is the prominent color here, the running second hand is blue to enhance readability.
In terms of appearance and shell size, this is a super master. Its clock height is 42mm, with sapphire crystals on the front and back, and the iconic crown and push rod guard for guidance. Although the strap is a bit hard, it looks great on the wrist. It fits tightly on the sides, but the large gap at the top makes the watch look taller than it actually is. I think this will change over time.
Now, it is wrong to say that this fake watch has an exhibition back cover, because it will sell everything there. Instead, we call it an “expeditionary” trunk. When you turn the watch over, you will not see the movement parts. Instead, you will vividly depict the moon in the foreground, and rotate the earth farther with a smaller second hand to observe the vast space in this way.
Although this sounds like some sort of party trick, there are indeed a lot of sights to be seen on the metal sheet. On the one hand, this is a miracle of mechanical watchmaking, and it can be traced back to Omega’s idea of knowing how to have fun. Please note that all of this happens on the back of the watch, which is hidden 99% of the time when worn, but this is a value-added way to separate the watch from the packaging. This is a little secret between you and the watch.
The Omega Speedmaster is completely legendary in watchmaking industry and ranks among the most popular and commonly revered replica watches, which no doubt excites fake watch collectors the most, some of the vintage samples have been sold breaking the six-figure price at auction.
Despite the diversity of Omega collection, only a few replica watches standout above the rest. Recently, Phillips sold a pretty unique Omega Speedmaster, a prototype item 145.000 Speedmaster from the “Alaska I” project. The watch was sent to NASA for rigorous inspection in 1970 and has the official Omega Extract from the Archives to prove it.
Even through the prototype Speedmaster fake watches had never actually landed on the moon, they are still some of the most special and important Speedmaster fake watches of all time. By making legibility and quality improvements over the typical Omega Speedmaster, the different cheap watches showcase Omega’s comprehensive(and costly ) attempts to create the complete, lunar surface chronograph which enables astronauts to wear in the extreme conditions.
Made in 1969, the cheap watch was from the 3rd and final batch of prototypes that were specifically for the “Alaska I” project, and later then sent to NASA’s Apollo Program Office in Houston, Texas in 1970. Different from other prototypes fitted with large titanium cases, this special fake watch has a stainless steel edition of Omega’s “Mark II style” Speedmaster case, making it greatly more practical and traditionally proportioned for daily wear and use.
Considering this replica watch is one of only available prototypes to have ever been manufactured as part of the “Alaska I” project; moreover it also has proof of it. It’s no surprising that a lot of watch lovers were yearning to collect the cheap watch. When the final hammer came down, this special watch sold for a sum of 193,000 USD, which is far more than its initial pre-sale estimation of 60,000 USD.
Even though the pre-sale price for this special fake watch was greatly underestimated; but the final sale price is almost tripled its expected amount. Some high-end, vintage collector websites reported this watch in the days before the auction, which is believed to help it achieve its exceedingly high sale price. The fact that fake Omega sold for about $200k proves that six-figure auction prices – something that was formerly almost exclusive for replica Rolex and Patek Philippe watches- are becoming more and more common for watches of other brands.
I heard the news that the watch-loving world went crazy for the Speedmaster Ultraman a few months ago. A lot of people missed out on copping it, but if your love of retro orange highlights still burns strong, what about this automatic option? And we’re pretty partial to this silver dial while there’s a black dial on offer that looks even more ultra.
That’s the Speedmaster, so no surprise at all. It seems much like every other Speedmaster, except for its contemporary dimensions: it clocks in bigger than your regular Speedy, at a not insubstantial 44.25mm wide, but it wears well, and sits comfortably on the wrist, thanks to a very reasonable sub-15mm height.
You don’t have to doubt about how impressive replica Omega’s METAS-certified Master Chronometer movements are. These movements, like this Calibre 9900, really are among the best, most advanced high-volume movements in the business right now, and one of fake Omega’s greatest assets.
It’s elegant and this dial variation is by far the dandiest. The black we showed you earlier is an undeniable classic, and there’s a white version, but this sunburst grey number is the real winner in my books. The staggered minute ring that gives the Speedmaster Racing its name has short black hash marks and longer orange ones, creating a slightly subtler and (to my mind) more interesting version than the black dial. Orange is best used colors in moderation, which is exactly what the Omega replica have exercised here.
Eventually, the Speedmaster Racing comes on a standard Speedmaster bracelet, brushed with those little flashes of polish. It’s a much more appealing design, and I had zero issues with it while it was on my wrist. It’s also worth noting that there’s a brown calf option, which is a more particular look than the perforated straps provided on the other dial variants.
As for me, the fake = Omega is all about making exceptional everyday replica watches. Outstanding in comfort and technical expertise, while still being the kind of watch most people would want to wear for a decade or so. It’s not actually quirky or groundbreaking in its design, but that’s what makes it great.
The Speedmaster is so ubiquitous, and new versions and limited editions are an unavoidable fact of life in watch-land, that the possibility of Speedy fatigue is very real. The Speedmaster Racing is a smart, stylish sports timer that I’d live to have on my wrist. However, somehow the versatility of the design manages to stay consistently relevant.
Birthday is meaningful to everyone. And watch brands love them as much as anyone – an excuse to celebrate, a hook for a fresh collection. The Omega replica have marked the 25th anniversary of the Seamaster Professional Diver 300M with a revamp. It was the SMP that kicked off the replica Omega’s relationship with the Bond franchise, becoming something of a late-1990s icon as Pierce Brosnan wore a series of tricked-out, which is the weapon of versions of the watch over the course of four movies.
The luxury Omega’s revamp of the Seamaster Professional Diver 300M, with 14 new variations – six in stainless steel and eight in steel-gold combos, three dial colors and a choice of rubber strap or steel bracelet – is about updated materials and mechanics instead of a major redesign. The case diameter has risen from 41mm to 42mm and the Seamaster’s distinctive cone-shaped crown for the helium escape valve sits at the 10 o’clock position. For the first time on a Seamaster Diver 300M, the case-back is sapphire crystal.
The movement is Omega’s well-proven co-axial chronometer calibre 8800, which is METAS-certified for magnetic resistance to more than 15,000 gauss and has a 55-hour power reserve.
The rotating dive bezel is now made of ceramic and, on this blue version, has inlaid white enamel markers. On the dial – also ceramic – Omega have reintroduced the distinctive wave pattern of the early SMPs and moved the date window from the 3 o’clock position to 6 o’clock. The shape of the skeletonised hands is also strongly reminiscent of those on the original.
The two steel-on-steel models capture the feel and look of the original far more than the rest of the new line-up does; in black it’s classic and restrained while in blue it’s right on the nail. Nostalgia aside, the simplicity of the blue bezel-blue dial combo makes for a really clean and strong design – which is what we want in sports replica watches.
The glossy finish of the ceramic dial and the slightly wider laser-cut wave pattern look more assertive than on the earlier SMP models. Therefore, the effect is well balanced by strong but not overbearing indexes that are full of bright white SuperLuminova.
The increase in case size from 41mm to 42mm is barely discernible on the wrist and, with those nicely curving lugs and great weight distribution. The soft and fluid feel of the bracelet is an unexpected treat on a proper sports cheap replica watch.
The year of 2017 was a pretty special year for Swiss Omega who had more than 170 new timepieces to launch. Most significant to me was the fact that a good number of their new watches were wonderful, providing interesting new variations or improvements on existing classics. 2017 is the 60th anniversary of the Speedmaster which debuted in 1957 and the show predictably shown a number of new models, embracing the Omega Speedmaster Racing Master Chronometer which has 10 different models.
Omega previewed this replica watch prior to Baselworld 2017, and we covered it with the pre-final name of Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Automatic Master Chronometer here. While the Speedmaster Racing focused on the motorsports origins of the Speedmaster, it is really a replacement of the now discontinued Omega Speedmaster Chronograph. This latter model is really the modern-era Speedmaster in a larger 44.25mm-wide case, and when it debuted more than five years ago was a big deal given that it contained the very impressive in-house-made Omega caliber 9300 automatic movement.
Omega replica Speedmaster Racing is another replica watch which is also discontinued recently. It was introduced in 2011. The 2017 Speedmaster Racing Master Chronometer replaces both it and the Speedmaster Chronograph. The “racing checker” outer scale on the dial periphery and use of bright, orange color on some models is where the “Racing” part of the name comes from.
When the case is still the same 44.25mm-wide size of the outgoing Speemaster Chronograph model, it wears a lot more comfortably owing to a number of refinements. On one hand, the case is 0.8mm thinner – due in most part to the more curved versus boxy look of the rear sapphire crystal. You also have new end-links for the bracelet, which point down versus straight out, permitting the watch to fit much more comfortably when worn. As I mentioned, the case shape changes are subtle, but the Omega Speedmaster Racing Master Chronometer is a lot more comfortable to wear than the other 44.25mm-wide Speedmaster models that came before it.
More design upgrades can be shown on the dial and bezel. The subdials are a bit bigger, which is a nice point; the lume-filled, applied hour markers now have slightly tapered ends; the date window is neat-looking and tapered; and the bezels use interesting new production techniques. This is overall the best-looking modern Speedmaster, consisting of handsome, beautiful appearance and stellar technology both inside and out.
I mentioned that the bezels are new. There are two models of bezel materials, being either ceramic or silicon nitride (depending on the color, as the latter material is used for the gray bezels). Omega then uses the Liquid metal, Ceragold, or enamel for the tachymeter bezel markers and text. The one interested me most is the black ceramic bezels with the white enamel. The latter is used for the bezel text on the white-dialed versions, given the bright, everlasting color required for the white text to match the dial. As far as I am concerned, these are the most popular dials (white with black-ring subdials), and as to Omega, each of the baked enamel bezels has five layers of enamel.
Compared to the retail prices of the previous generation Speedmaster Chronograph watches with the 9300 movements, these new fake Omega Speedmaster Racing Master Chronometer models with the 9900 family movements are priced about 10-15% less, which is about $600 – $800 below the older generation models. This stands for a normal pricing decrease we are looking in the industry – which is a nice thing. Thus, the Omega Speedmaster Racing Master Chronometer replica watches are actually expensive, however the prices seem much fairer than I remember.
It was 45 years ago, on April 14, 1970 those three astronauts, namely: Jim Lovell, Jack Swigert and Fred Haise were on their way to the Moon, as members of the Apollo 13 mission. At more than 300,000 km from Earth, one of their two oxygen tanks exploded, leaving them with no choice but to abort their mission and find their way back home through an epic journey of survival, a story of ingenuity and team work.
The total absence of light that can be experienced merely in space was almost certainly the source of inspiration for Omega when they’ve designed the Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon. I still remember hearing Chris Hadfield giving an interview to CBC after his return from his space mission and one thing that he described that truly moved my imagination was the blackness of space, a black we can’t knowledge here on Earth.
This week at Baselworld, four new Omega speedmaster is released, including Black Black, Sedna Black, Pitch Black and Vintage Black. All these belong to the popular Speedmaster Moonwatch Dark Side of the Moon collection.
The Sedna Black (Ref. 3220.127.116.11.06.001) is the consequence of the combination of Omega’s ceramic technology and their popular rose gold alloy, called Sedna gold.
With the omega Black (Ref. 318.104.22.168.01.005), Omega has turned off the lights entirely, opting for a refined and brushed black ceramic case, a matt black ceramic dial and a black ceramic clasp on a black coated nylon fabric strap. Well-made and with great detail, this watch is definitely worth the money and it is probably one of the best looking watches out there. The sub-dials at 3 and 9 o’clock are matt black and the black ceramic bezel has a black lacquered tachymeter scale as well.
The 42 mm stainless steel timepiece is presented on a black coated nylon fabric strap with white stitching and a foldover clasp. The Speedmaster Apollo 13 Silver Snoopy Award will be produced in an edition limited to 1,970 pieces. At its heart is the OMEGA calibre 1861, the same replica omega manual-winding chronograph movement that powered the legendary Moonwatch.
